Little pig...BIG PIG!

Before I type this up I want everyone to be aware that I cut my thumb with some scissors so if my penmanship on the keyboard is a little sloppy that's why. But don't worry mom, I only washed it out with toilet water once.

An update on our frozen pipe. We had all the heaters cranked up in the apartment and were roasting ourselves and nothing was thawing. But little did we know the pipe runs right behind the oven and when we turned it on the pipe unfroze! Days worth of cooking the apartment and turns out all we had to do was cook french fries.

This week was another pretty solid week although we were not able to meet with Jacob again. We had a lesson scheduled but had to cancel, unfortunately. At this point we're trying to get him to consistently come to church. I'm starting to fear that he doesn't quite understand the importance of the lessons we teach him. But, hopefully we can work on that. Other than that we shoveled quite a bit of snow. We got hit with another pretty good snow storm and we went out and shoveled a number of people's drives.  We are back into a finding phase. During the winter it's pretty difficult to find people, but we'rE doing our best to stay busy.

You're probably wondering what that subject line is all about. Well as a service project we got together with the other elders in the district to help a lady down in Clayton with her family farm. She raises a whole bunch of pigs and we went and helped her feed them (which is fun in itself) and then we got to run around the farm in the snow chasing some of the pigs that escaped their pen. You basically run around and try to tackle them and once you get them you grab their hind legs and you can walk them like a wheel barrow back to the pen and then pick them up and chuck em back in. It was dark while we were doing this and the pigs are black so it's kind of hard to hunt them down, but when we spotted one we'd all yell "LITTLE PIG, LITTLE PIG" or if it was a big one "BIG PIG" and we'd all go tearing after this pig, slipping and sliding in the snow, tripping over things in the dark trying to catch it. That was a blast.

Love to all!

Elder Herd
