Hammered by Winter (2/19/18)

Well the last few days we have gotten HAMMERED by winter. Weather lately hasn't been able to decide if it still wants to be winter or switch to spring, but lately it must've been in a pretty bad mood because we got about 16 inches of snow in under 24 hours, and now that the clouds have gone away, the temperature has dropped like a rock. It's supposed to be in the negatives for the next few days. Schweitzer would be a gnar ski day today but unfortunately they don't want missionaries having too much distraction…and breaking ankles and things like that.

Anyway, it's been a busy week! Long story short due to some scheduling roadblocks, we've suddenly found ourselves with four baptisms lined up for the next week and another the week after that! Three of the four for next week are the unbaptized kids of some reactivated members who haven't been able to be baptized due to some parental issues but everything has finally checked out and they are excited. The other for next week is Jeremy. He's excited as well. For the week after that we have Brian. We originally put him on date for sometime in April, but he was talking to us and being the insanely spiritually in tune guy he is, said that he's felt quite a bit of opposition in his life lately that he's equated to his decision to be baptized. But instead of being shy’d away by it all, he's told us that it has only solidified his thoughts that this is the right thing for him to be doing. He asked us if there was any way to push up his date and so we're pushing for March 10th right now. We don’t want to rush him into this and then have him back out, but so far he's really accepting and excited about it. My only concern at this point is that he isn't quite understanding the book of Mormon. He reads quite a bit every night but he says he's just re-read 1 Nephi over and over again and he's hesitant to go on until he understands it more. We're thinking about doing some Book of Mormon reading lessons with him to see if we can help him get used to the scriptures a little bit. But, he did come to church this last week and was accepted very well by the members, which is awesome to see!

Busy stuff getting everyone ready but its a blast to see these people so excited about baptism and it’s certainly been a blessing for me as well.

Love to all until next week…If I don't freeze to death before hand, lol!!!!
