How Do You Speak Mandarin!? (6/4/18)

Hello everyone! This week was pretty similar to last week. We were supposed to have a lot more lessons this week than last week but legitimately almost all of them had to reschedule or just stood us up. So that resulted in a lot more unscheduled tracting, but such is life. But something kinda cool. I heard somewhere from somebody (if it's somebody super obvious don't look down on me too hard) but it goes something like "if the Lord closes one door he opens another". That was definitely true on Tuesday. We had about four or five appointments scheduled that day, practically all day long. And every single one of them fell through. But what happened was we got a text from the mission office that day and they said there was an inactive member that was moving into town from the west side and was looking for some help. We wouldn't have had the time to help him out when he needed us but because we had lessons fall through we did have the time.

Another cool thing that happened this week! Back up to about three maybe four weeks ago when I was on exchanges in Colfax. We were out tracting for the very last part of the day and I knocked on this one door and started talking to an awesome lady who let us in and we taught the first lesson to her. Fast forward to this week and I was on exchanges again in Colfax with the other Elder there and we went over and taught her another lesson and we were able to put her solidly on date for baptism! She is married and has two young kids. Her husband works A TON so he is rarely home but they've talked and he wants to talk with us so hopefully that goes well and they can put him on date too. She apparently has been coming to church and loving it. So there you go. Can't get anybody to open the door in Pullman but whenever I go to Colfax there's miracles. Haha just kidding I'm really liking Pullman so far!

Quick update on Jesse. He is officially back in town with his three kids! Understandably he wants to spend as much time as possible with his kids while he has them and his schedule with them is not quite nailed down so we aren't meeting with him as much as we normally do but he was still excited to catch up with us and is planning on taking his kids to church this week.

Love to all until next week! Cotton is still flying.
