But I do have a kinda cool story about how the Holy Ghost works. So we went on exchanges last Friday and I was down in Deer Park with one of the Elders down there. We were tracting this neighborhood that he'd never been in before and after a few rejections and nobody else being home he was fixing to go back and try around town, but I said "hold on let's just walk around that corner street down there, do you know where that goes?" He said he hadn't so we went and turned down the corner just to see what was down there and it was probably just the second house that we passed when we saw a younger guy standing out on his porch who said hi and flagged us down. He said "I'm not of your guys faith and what not but I know what you guys do and I appreciate it." We said thank you and talked to him a bit and asked him if there was anything we could do for him. He said "just pray for me and my family. I have a good buddy who recently heard some terrible terrible news and on top of that my family itself as of about an hour ago is hanging by a thread and I don't know how much I'm going to see my kids anymore." While he wasn't interested in the restored gospel, what he needed right then was simply somebody to talk to and some support. Had I not wanted, simply out of curiosity, to go see what was around the corner we never would've met and talked to this guy. Often times that's how the Holy Ghost works. He's guiding us without us even knowing it. I didn't consider it a spiritual impression at the time, I was simply curious, but looking back i can see that it eas inspired. We shouldnt always feel like we need divine direction to move forward with something. Work out of your own intuition and trust that the Spirit will give you course corrections when needs be.
Love till next week!
