Hello all! I've only been in Montana for about 3 days but I'll do my best to fill in on what's going on. So far the towns I've been in have only gotten bigger. Kamiah had no stop lights, Chewelah had one, and Libby has about four lol so I guess you could say I'm moving up the corporate ladder. Still pretty small town though. But its away from Washington and I'm in the land of the free so that's a plus. Really pretty area though. I'll see if I can grab some pictures sometime. Most of the scenic spots are on the highway so I'll have to get creative. Troy is not so big, about Kamiah size. Troy is about a half hour from Libby and on Sundays we can't really go to both meetings so this week we went to Troy. First time I've ever been in a branch before but it was really cool. Met in a little cozy church building on folding chairs haha.
My companion is Elder Anderson from a little "mormon" town in California. He just got out of training so he's been out 3 months. Apparently this area in the past year has only had 3 different missionaries. It seems like once you come here you don't leave for a while haha so we'll see if that's the case with me.
The ward and branch I hear is pretty good at fellowshiping so that's awesome to hear. We do quite a bit of less active and part member family work. We currently have four people that are pretty close to being baptized; a lone guy and then three family members. I haven't met the family yet we talked to our one investigator in Troy yesterday. His name is Jeremy and he's a rocker. No joke haha he's a super cool guy. He's the unbaptized son of a less active member of the ward who recently started coming back. We shared a quick lesson yesterday with him which went pretty well and then we got talking about his music and he just instantly lit up and got so excited to show me his studio he had upstairs. It was way funny to see this guy with big arms, tattoos, earings and long hair just get as excited as a little kid to show us what he can do and rock out to Metallica.
Well that's all to report today. I'm sure I'll have more to share next week. Love to all!
