Anti is Krappy!

This week wasn't super duper dandy. Jesse wasn't able to meet with us or come to church because he was sick. We fear Hilaire and Jo got themselves into some anti because they don't seem to want to talk to us anymore. Kathy skipped out on church two weeks in a row. And our referral Michelle ended up dropping us before we could have a lesson because her husband is anti and she doesn't want to make things toxic between them. So unfortunately not a whole lot to report this week. But we did do quite a bit of service and the people we were doing service for were very appreciative of us which always helps you feel good (even though she had two able bodied sons/grandsons that could've done what we did just fine but...).

I take comfort from a talk that Elder Holland gave to a batch of new mission presidents. I won't quote a whole bunch of it but the gist of what he said was "why would we think missionary work and the work of salvation would be easy when it was never ever easy for him. When we are rejected, cast out, etc. we are standing shoulder to shoulder with the greatest missionary and the best man this world has ever seen." Not that having people not come to church is anywhere near as bad or frustrating as missionary work could be but for me that's really powerful.

Well, hopefully the work will continue to press on. We have scheduled to meet with Jesse today so we've still got some work to do.

Love to all that have sent letters and words of encouragement! More to come!
