From the Forest to the Concrete Jungle (4/23/18)

Well...transfer calls came in this morning, and it looks like I'll be leaving Libby and Troy much to my surprise. Kind of a bummer, I would've liked to stay another transfer. It wasn't until this last week or so that I got to thinking that I'd like to stay longer. But alas. I'll be going down to Moscow for the next little bit and serving in the Sunny Side and Terre View Wards. It'll for sure be interesting being in the city rather than out here in the mountains.  We'll see how it all goes. Another fun little addition to the puzzle is that I'll be a new zone leader. As the summer is approaching, about 80-90% of the mission leadership will be going home soon, including our president, so he really had to switch things up. This transfer will definetly have some changes that I'm not used to but that's good right?

One last update for the area. Brian didn't show for church the past two weeks. Kinda sad but we have seen him driving around town quite a bit and we wave to him so who knows, maybe the extra exposure to us is evidence of God's hand, and will be reminders to Brian that we're still here for him. I'll definetly keep in touch with him after I'm gone. We have a dinner appointment with him tomorrow that I hope he'll make an appearance at.

This week we were finally able to have a lesson with a lady named Cecee and her kids. I can't remember if I mentioned them or not but she used to be a member of the church, but isn't anymore and two of her kids were never baptized. We had a lesson with them and once we got done, one of the kids asked us "when can I be baptized?"  We set up another lesson with them to continue the process.  Unfortunately, it was two days after I leave so I hope to reschedule that one.

And last but not least, Rolly the dog... He finally got fostered so at least when I leave, he gets to leave too!  There's another dog at the shelter named Poncho that really seems to like Elder Nelson, so don't worry about him, he won't be lonely.

We also got to go do some service on a farm in Bonners Ferry and we gave shots and stuff to the sheep. We had to keep them "scattered" for a while to give the shots, but eventually we "gathered" them all together. Made me feel like Ammon! :) "Other sheep I have which are not of this fold." Pics below.

Love to all until next week! Thank you for all your support and prayers!
