Hello all! Pretty solid week, busy but real good. I'll jump right in. Wednesday we had a chance to meet with Jesse and Josh, and we had a less active member come who knows Jesse, hoping that this could be a reactivation effort of sorts as well. We were reading in the book of Mormon and long story short Josh didn't really believe a lot of what we were discussing and the situation got a little heated unnecessarily. The member that we brought was a little too intense. But, while Jesse was talking he was able to able to bear a pretty powerful testimony of how he believes Joseph Smith is a prophet! I was really glad to see that from Jesse.
This week I also got to go on exchanges with the new AP. That was pretty intense haha, but good and I learned a lot. We made a goal of handing out 5 copies of the book of Mormon, and that night at 8:40 we handed out the fifth one. Clutch. Just a little testimony builder that if we involve the Lord in our righteous goals, he will help us accomplish whatever those goals are. We also made ginger bread houses once we called it a night. Pics below.
Another cool experience we had when we were out tracting. We were out walking in our area and we saw one of the missionaries' favorite opportunities.... Uhaul trucks! We went over and asked the young family if we could help move them in. They graciously declined as they most always do and we went on out way. A few minutes and streets later a car pulls up next to us and a lady calls out and says "hey, we're that family you just walked by that's moving in. When you asked if you could help, did you mean it?" We were like "yeah of course!" And then she said "awesome because we actually really do need your help" hahaha so we ran back and helped them move in for the next few hours. The lady made us promise not to "preach" to them but honestly just helping them and talking and getting to know them was fruitful. We left them with a good first impression of the missionaries and our church and the rest is in the Lord's hands. We'll see where it goes from here.
One last thing. So we will be getting this new prosolyting tool tomorrow. It's suppose to be a book with people's faces in it. Except it's not really a book. It's a little blue app on our phone. I don't really know how it works to be honest. I'll need to be trained. Apparently people can friend me and we can have missionary discussions using our devices. I'll have to get up to speed on all the details but these new opportunities to teach through technology are awesome!
Ok now it's the last thing. There are these little ghost drawings all over town that I'm going to take pictures of and keep a running tally of how many I find.
Love to all!
